TAILORED TO YOU
Pressure, focus and techniques adapted throughout.
What is Sports Massage?
Sports massage is a focused form of massage that works with the
muscles and soft tissues of the body.
A combination of massage techniques, movement and stretching may be used to help ease areas of tension, support comfortable movement and encourage relaxation.
Treatment can focus on a particular problem area or several related areas, depending on what you need.
Sports massage can be firm, but it should not simply be a case of applying as much pressure as possible.
I will check in with you and adapt the pressure throughout your treatment.

Training & Events
Support before and after
Before an event
A lighter, more stimulating treatment can help you feel prepared without leaving your muscles overly worked.
After an event
Treatment can focus on relaxation and recovery, with timing and pressure adapted to how your body feels.
Massage complements sensible training, rest, hydration and mobility work.
It does not replace medical or physiotherapy care where this is required.
Your Appointment
What to expect
We’ll begin by discussing what has brought you for treatment, your usual activities and any relevant injuries or medical conditions.
Your massage will be planned around your needs.
Techniques may include deeper or lighter massage, focused work, gentle movement and stretching.
You’ll remain appropriately covered throughout, and you can ask me to adjust or stop any technique at any time.
I have been a qualified massage therapist since 2005 and qualified in sports massage in 2019.
Fully insured and a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists. Treatments take place in my private therapy room in Downend, Bristol.
Very deep pressure is not automatically more effective.
My approach is focused, considered and always tailored to you.
