Reflexology is a natural and holistic art of healing - a Complementary Therapy.

The origins of Reflexology date back to around 2330 BC, being practised by the early Indian, Chinese and Egyptian people.

It is a precisely defined form of treatment based on the principle that the anatomy of the body is reflected in miniature on reflex zones/points on the feet and hands.

By working on these reflexes using specific techniques of holds and pressures, blockages in the energy pathways are cleared, inducing relaxation and balance.

Reflexology can be used to help restore and maintain the body's natural equilibrium.

  • Helps with relaxation
  • Improves mood
  • Aids sleep
  • Helps relieve tension
  • Improves a sense of well-being

Reflexology is suitable for all ages and may bring relief from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions - Treating the whole person, not just symptoms

As a 'Complementary Therapy' Reflexology works well being used alongside or in addition to conventional medical treatments / medicine.

Reflexology does not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe.

Reflexology treatments

On the first visit there is an initial introductory chat /consultation to take down your details and determine your past and present health and lifestyle.

Then you may sit back and relax - I will then begin to use my hands to work on your feet, or hands if necessary, using a variety of holds, movements and pressures.

This treatment will relax you while stimulating the body's own healing mechanisms.

Usually, after a treatment you may feel your tension levels may be reduced and you might feel much more relaxed. You might also notice your sleep improves and find your mood and sense of well-being improving. Other aspects of your health may improve too; however, this happens on an individual basis.

The first treatment will last approximately 1.5 hrs - this includes your free initial consultation followed by the treatment of approx 1 hour.

Subsequent treatment sessions will last approx 1 hour.
